Horseback Riding

Enjoy our many horseback riding options offered at Hatfield Farm. Head out along our woodland trails and enjoy the peaceful outdoors on one of our multi-level trail rides. Attend one of our riding classes and learn the ropes of basic horseback riding & care. Or introduce your kids to the wonderful world of horses on one of our pony rides.

Trail Rides (Summer Rates are in effect as of June 15th at $35 + HST per person (family/group of 4 or more for $30 + HST) available 7 days a week.  Cancellation 24 hours prior to departure. Reservations or walk-ins welcome.)

Available year round. Even if you haven’t ridden before, we’ll have you in the saddle and on the trail at a pace you feel comfortable with in no time. We have horses to suit all shapes and sizes of riders and for all experience levels too. The minimum age for trail rides is 8 years old, however, children of all ages are welcome to come and enjoy our pony rides.

Winter Rate -Saturday to Sunday
Regular Trail Ride: $35.00 / person
Group of four or more: $30.00 / person

Regular Trail Ride: $40.00 / person
Group of four or more: $35.00 / person

Head out along our woodland trails at a pace you feel comfortable with. Enjoy the peaceful outdoors on horseback. Riders must be 8 years old and over, with the exception of pony rides, which are available to all ages.

Trail Rides 6 times daily: Winter rate apply until June 15th 2013, reservations must be made 24 hours in advance, especially for Monday to Friday bookings. Cancellation in our winter season is 24 hours prior to departure.

Advanced Trail Ride: $45.00 / person
Advanced riders looking for more excitement can experience the thrill of cantering along our Maritime woodland trails on this fast- paced outing. Please call in advance to book your advanced ride, reservations are required.

Private Trail Ride: $49.00 / person
Breakaway from the crowd and enjoy a private ride with one of our guides. Please call in advance to book your private ride, reservations are required.

Riding Lessons

Riding Lesson: $59.00 / person / 2hr.
9:00AM to 11:00AM, 7 Days a week. We offer riding lessons for beginner and intermediate riders. Each lesson is two hours long and covers grooming, tacking, horsemanship and western riding along our woodland trails. The minimum age for riding lessons is 8 years old. Multiple lesson booking discount available. Please call in advance to book your riding lesson, reservations are required.

Summer Riding Camp!

Camp activities will include 2 daily lessons, trail rides through our woodland trails, lessons on grooming, tacking, feeding, cleaning saddles, horse anatomy & farm safety.  1 Trail Guide / Camp Counselor is provided per 6 riders. 

By the end of the week riders will improve their confidence in being around and riding horses.

Pony Rides

Tenderfoot Pony Ride: $8.70 / child
This is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to the delight of riding in a comfortable setting. We have ponies and horses of various sizes to suit any child.

For younger children and those who are new to riding, we recommend this 5 minute ride on the farm and free ice cream
as well as visit to our Petting Zoo, as a super summer treat.

Cowpoke Pony Ride: $37.00 / ½hr.
Add 30 minutes of pony rides to any of our other activities or adventures.
